I can remember how difficult it was to show up at work. The place I loved had become my worst enemy. Every passing day was a struggle. If you’ve experienced a stressful period at work, you could relate to this feeling.
My to-do list was mounting and there was absolutely no appreciation from the management’s side. In fact, it was only unjust criticism. I was forced to feel incapable of rising to meet expectations. Soon I was sacrificing my personal time to keep up with my own goals and someone else’s ‘not so logical’ expectations.
There was a phase when I was struggling with ‘the professional syndrome.’ I couldn’t figure out what more should be done to come across as a professional employee. I wasn’t a procrastinator, but I was forced to feel like one. I tried everything to keep up with the rising unrealistic hopes and soon I found…
I hope you all are fine and shining bright. As for me, I am drowning in flu and in the pool of medicines. *sigh*
2016 has been a rough year for me. But there is always some light in the dark tunnel and that light was my admission into the university after long stressful days. Phew!

As I already posted about my YouTube channel earlier, this post is to tell you guys that my second video is now live on my channel. I am still a newbie at it and taking baby steps. I hope you all would take some time out for me and drop in some quick valuable feedback. Trust me when I say that it means a lot and I read each and every comment.

As for me guys, I am gearing up for my university test. So when you say your prayer, do not, I repeat, do not forget to take my name and pray that I clear it and get through 🙂

Let’s get to the fulcrum of this post :).
So, I was eager to purchase this because of its name, you know this “Lip Glazed Paint” really attracted me. And I got it :D.
Packaging:
The packaging is glazed, as the name suggests. Also some may find it eye-piercing with that retro touch, if I make sense ^_^. The glossy pink packaging and gold lid makes it easy to identify out of your vanity. I kind of like these sort of packaging, so yeah, I give it full points on that
Application:
Just with a paint, you would need several coats of it for that smooth layer. I am not that very happy with the formulation and the train of coats I need to apply for an even layer. At the end, I feel frustrated. Having said that, the color appeal is quite good. The color is very pretty and has the right amount of glossiness.
Coming towards the applicator, I am not at all fond of such slanted applicators. I literally struggle and never ever have I been able to get that perfect lip shape with them. I had to go for a lip brush every time I used this, firstly as it involves quite a few layering and the applicator kind of takes the product away and makes it look patchy and secondly, like I said I could not manage to make the lip shape, in that case, a lip brush saves the day.
Longevity and Scent:
It only managed to last for 2-3 hours. And man, it was disappointing. If you eat or drink a tad bit, it even doesn’t stay up to 2 hours. You would need several touch ups through out your event or whatever occasion.
I have a love and hate relationship with its scent. Sometimes it bothers me and sometimes it don’t. I think here, mood takes the lead, ha!
Speaking of this, it has a minty scent; I also felt a cooling sensation on my lips for a few minutes due to the ingredient Mentha Arvensis (Peppermint) Leaf Oil which did not mind at all.

-You dislike the applicator
-You need several coats for smooth finish
-You dislike minty scent and the cooling sensation
Okay… .after much reluctance, hesitation and what not, I finally gave in and consented for a YouTube channel with the sister dearest OR you can say it’s more or less reverse. We both were equally skeptical. And man, I literally had to hop out of my comfort zone to do this. I have never been this transparent, you see.
We came off from a party, and then quickly sat down; as we came back with a pact which said, “No More Procrastination”. We, the camera and guys, our first SHOT! 🙂

To begin with, I really like the packaging; very sturdy and easy to handle. The product is easy to squeeze out of the flip-flop cap and surprisingly, it allows quite effectively to handle the quantity as well which mostly doesn’t happen with flip-flop caps.
I have an attraction for products with “oil free” written on them so, naturally, I had to purchase this one. But let me tell you, I first bought the smaller size for in case I was to be disappointed, I’d overcome it in a matter of minutes, haha!
I am an oil factory, and upon application, it blended well with my skin type. I was truly elated to see how non-greasy it is and you don’t feel as if you have a layer on. It is super duper lightweight and a little goes a long way; a pea-sized amount works well enough.
Not to forget that this works really great under makeup. I slather it all over my face and neck before using makeup and it helps my skin in being super hydrated and also keeps makeup from collapsing 😀
For many people, its scent seemed somewhat of a hospital one, but I kinda liked it so yeah, you got to decide that on your own whether or not you like it.
I have forgotten the price tag, my sincere apologies! :(. However, I can assure you that it’s under 200 PKR and guys so is therefore super pocket-friendly. And I think, for the price, it is certainly a good catch 🙂

Soooo, another week passed without a post 😦 I wonder what is wrong with me.
Anyhoo, I am back and will defo try to maintain my previous consistent approach.
I kid you not when I say I am not at all a market rambler. Hard to believe? I understand since many are only comfortable with going to markets and physically feel the quality and all. In my case, I am rather comfortable with the *click* *click* *click* philosophy :D. I love shopping from the comfort of my home and feel extremely paranoid in the markets and get overly irritated whilst shopping. Yes, there are days when I do feel like going to markets, but only when I need some footwear or something in a product that I suspect might bring me a problem; so to be on the safe side, I make my way into the markets much to my chagrin. But guys, such days are rare, online shopping always is my first priority :D.
A few days back, I was looking for some reliable outlet to shop a few things I have been eyeing on since like ages. Reliable as in both secure shipping and of course the price. And that’s when MyGerrys (mygerrys.com) came at my rescue. It brings you a whole array of goods, from clothing, cosmetic, to kitchenware, home decor and gadgets.
The products which I shopped from MyGerrys were L.A Girl Glazed Lip Paint in shade Tease, L.A Girl Matte Pigment Gloss in shade Frisky and MISS SPORTY Morning Baby! Cream Blush in shade 001 Pink Flush.
For me guys, the shopping experience from MyGerrys is hands down a hit! The products I bought are a rare sight in Pakistan and to acquire them is such a hassle. After exploring through many Facebook pages which deals in foreign brands, I was very unhappy as they were charging literally double of everything in addition to the delivery costs. Then I shifted to other online portals, there either my desired products were unavailable or were at the high price tags. Ultimately, everything was getting beyond my budget.
I am happy that I came across MyGerrys as it offers the products at quite a reasonable price as compared to other portals you would find the products at. You’ll come to know why when I’ll mention the prices of the products I bought and trust meee, you’ll be blown away :D.
If I talk about the shipping and handling, the only thing that bothered me was that it did not fulfill its claim of delivering within 24 hours. I got my order after two days to which I was quite surprised and disappointed as I obviously anticipated a 24 hour one. Having said that, my disappointment soon vanished as soon as came across the excellent packaging. I am sorry I couldn’t photograph it, but seriously, it was very well packed. It came in a big envelope-type case and inside the products were securely enclosed in bubble wraps; perfectly taped and wrapped. It took me at least a decade to unpack the things, but C’mon, you can definitely tolerate that for the sake of getting your products fit and fine :D. I find the shipping and handling extremely prompt and safe if I compare it to the Facebook pages and sellers.
Another cherry on the top was is that MyGerrys offers free delivery, YES, you read it right, free delivery and that too without any minimum shopping limit within Karachi. As soon as I read this, I was like whaaaat?
It is a rare thing when you do online shopping, so I was truly elated and couldn’t take in my rabbit teeth in ^_^.
This lazy bunny is ecstatic to see the rise in portals like MyGerrys as it makes this bunny’s life easier and happier and leaves plenty of time to munch on her carrots.
I, hereby, declare, MyGerrys as my go-to shopping spot from now onward. 🙂
