Essence All About Matt! Oil-free Make-up – Review

Hi fellow make-upsies ❤

I hope this post of mine finds y’all in good health. The New Year is around the corner, did you guys draw any resolutions? Lemme know in the comments section below 🙂

As for today, let’s get to the point! I am here to share my experience with “Essence All About Matte! Oil-free Make-up.” Woot woot 😀

Well, this product is one of my favourites. Firstly, this product comes in a sleek packaging, which is travel-friendly as well as pocket. The consistency is you can say between cream and liquid, i.e., not so creamy and not so liquid. It manages to provide light to medium coverage , and I love the fact that it is build-able and does not look cake-y. It slightly conceals dark circles or blemishes on the skin but does not cover them completely, so yes, you have to run for your favourite concealor.

Okay, here comes the main part! Don’t forget, I repeat, don’t forget to moisturize your skin well, for it settles in lines or on the dry patches on your skin and gives an uneven, bumpy and cake-y look if not moisturized well. I use the shade 10-matte beige, and I own a combination skin. For me, it manages to last up to 4-6 hours with touch up once a day as it vanishes off my nose and chin :D.It is super easy to blend, gives a nice even matte finish. I use a damp make-up sponge or sometimes a Kabuki brush to apply it.

To sum it up, for a price of 655, I think it is a must-have. this can make up a perfect combo with your favourite setting powder if you’re looking for a daily-wear  or a quick fix if you’re in a hurry to go somewhere.

-Light to medium coverage and is build-able
-Does not get cake-y
-Gives a matte finish
-Easy to blend

-Not suitable to dry skins
-It oxidizes after 4-6 hours
-Does not live up to its claim of 12-hour staying power

I got mine from http://just4girls.pk/  for PKR 655. Other than this, it is easily available at all the leading super-stores in Karachi.

Will I Repurchase/Recommend Essence All About Matt! Oil Free Make Up?
Oh yes, definitely!

See you soon,

The 4-minutes!

Miss Universe 2015! How those 4 minutes turned the cards for both Miss.Colombia and Miss.Philippines.

We are very well aware of the mistake committed by Steve Harvey at Miss Universe 2015 pageant. One mere human error changed lives of two women. A heart mended while the other broke.

As this went on to become a breaking news, I was busy pondering over the game life plays. One minute everything is fine, and the other minute you don’t know what’s coming to you. Gosh! Life’s so unpredictable!

For some, this news was a matter of jest, for me it was an eye-opener! Miss.Colombia, Ariadna Gutierrez, you stole my heart! You taught me how to embrace a situation with elan, to maintain your composure no matter what comes, and be proud of what you so far has achieved. You taught me how to wink to the exam life conducts and score an A.

I thank you for giving me a new perspective to deal life with and for proving that it is you who makes or breaks yourself. You either can drown and emotionally drain yourself or sail through the tragedies of life and do wonders. Thank you for showing the world that the power lies with no one but you, it is you who decide whether or not you will let yourself down.

I congratulate Miss Philippines, Pia Wurtzbach for bagging the crown and I wish you success and more opportunities at your door. 🙂

Garnier Simply Essentials Soothing 2 in 1 Make-up Remover – Review

Hi everyone!

I am back and this time with a bang for this is my first time ever that I am sharing my views regarding a product. 😉

Today, I am going to share my thoughts on “Garnier Simpy Essentials Soothing 2 in 1 Make-up Remover” and this is a product I have been using ever since I began playing with the make-up :D.Well, I’ll call this product my best friend, this is seriously an all-rounder and why is that so, read below to find out.

About the product:
This product is a bi-phased make-up remover, which means it is 2 layered, one being the make-up removing oil (the blue liquid) and the other being the cleansing water (the plain/clear liquid) and comes with a flip-top cap. It claims no alcohol, no perfume,no residue and no rubbing and is even suitable for sensitive skin.
For usage, you have to shake it well for the two liquids to get mixed
and soak a cotton ball/pad and gently wipe the make-up of your face and eyes.

My opinion:
I love the fresh feeling this product’s color casts off when I see it.Well, this product is really good at breaking down the eye make-up, you really don’t have to rub or do it multiple times to remove the make-up of your eyes for it does it in one go. I am a mascara junkie and I use a waterproof mascara, and this product does a fair job of removing it, all I have to do is let it sit on my eye for a while and all the mascara just comes down on its own and then I wipe it off.
As for the face, it depends what coverage you have opted for. If it’s a full coverage foundation , you might have to go twice to remove it off. If you have a medium coverage, BB or CC cream on, or a tinted moisturizer, once is enough. The reason I call it an all-rounder is that it is pocket-friendly and effectively removes the make-up, above all, never irritates or stings the eyes.

The only problem I have with this product is the oily residue it leaves on my face, which makes me a tad bit uncomfortable. It has managed to fulfill each of its claims except for “no residue”. So yes, this is where the product lacks.

All in all, I would rate this product 9/10 and I for sure will go for it again.

See you soon. Xo!

DIY: Foot Soak

I hope this post finds y’all in the pink of health :).

Well ladies, we all have days when we have some really special event to attend and with that comes the dilemma of choosing the right dress, on-point makeup and of course a good pair of shoe to compliment both your dress and feet. A suitable footwear enhances your dress and pedicured feet your footwear. But often amidst our crazy schedules, we do not get our fair share of salon treatment.

So, missed your pedicure but still want to rock your favourite pair of heels? Here I bring you a quick fix lovelies!

Things required:

  • Water
  • Apple cider vinegar
  • Salt
  • Shampoo (to your liking)
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Pumice stone

How to:

Fill a tub with warm water and add a generous amount of shampoo and 1 cup of apple cider vinegar to it. Also add 3 table spoons of salt and 2 table spoons of olive oil. Soak in your feet for about 15-20 minutes and use a pumice stone to remove off dead skin. After this, wash your feet, pat dry and apply a good foot care cream.

That’s it! Put on your favorite footwear and rock on!

DIY time!

Hello lovelies,

Well, today I am going to bring up something that y’all will surely thank me for.

Finding that perfect blend of make-up fixer is nearly every make-up lover’s dream. So here, without wasting even a second, I bring you one!

Things you will need:

  • Rose water
  • Glycerin
  • A bottle with nozzle

How to prepare and use:

Well, it is certainly no rocket science! All you have to do is fill the bottle half-way through with rose water. Add 2-3 drops of glycerin. Shake well and voila! Ready to use 🙂

Just spray before or after the makeup and let it dry. Make sure to not to spray with the bottle too close to your face for you certainly do not want it all wet. Just a light spray and you are done.

Nugget to remember: You can add 1-2 drops of Vitamin-E oil as this is not only good for your skin, but will extend the product’s shelf life too.

This DIY will not only keep your make-up set for hours, but will also keep moisture locked up in your skin and you will have a nice healthy glow.

So yes, I hope this DIY eases up your life a tad bit. I look forward to hearing the outcomes from you all.
