As I already posted about my YouTube channel earlier, this post is to tell you guys that my second video is now live on my channel. I am still a newbie at it and taking baby steps. I hope you all would take some time out for me and drop in some quick valuable feedback. Trust me when I say that it means a lot and I read each and every comment.
Speaking of the video, I and my sister are sharing one of our food experiences and I hope you all find it as spicy as we did. Yeah, virtually :P.
To all my readers, Chatkhaar is an Urdu word which literally means, “Spice/y”.
And Chatkhaar is Pakistan’s most premium brand for sauces, chutneys and pickles made in 100% olive oil.
Anyhoo, here I am with a ramble, yeah ramble would be the right word. ^_^
Post Eid-ul-Adha, it’s been jam-packed days as I was loaded with family and friends gatherings. It’s been a binging month. The BBQs, Biryanis. Pulaos and other desi galore. The browns know the drill.
Here, have a dekko 😀
Besides, I thought, today I’ll share my outfit with you guys where I wore to one of my rendezvous with friends. I had a gala time and ate every possible piece of the BBQ, yeah, that’s where I have gotten those cheeks from you see in the picture. Heeheehee!
The top and skirt are from a local shop from a famous mall here in Karachi. And guess what, I have forgotten the name of the shop, oopsss! I am such an egg.
Anyway, I pair this outfit with 2 belts which were in my drawer having their good night’s sleep this particular night so, had to let it go. Hop over to this post, where you could meet them or on my Instagram :). They added the element BLING to my outfit. AND I LOVED IT.
Please ignore the back drop 😛 That’s how I roll. ROFL.
See you guys next time with an exciting product review, Inshaa Allah 🙂
17th of July was a day when the creative streak of Pakistan was at its best. This event, The Indie Arts and Crafts had it all; you name it, it had it!
It was organized by The Crafter’s Guild and Firefly at The Royal Rodale Club in Karachi and had crafters from the city and other parts of Pakistan.
This event was a splash of freshness amidst the chaotic happenings and it was a lovely sight to see people gathered for nothing but to radiate good vibes and share the common love or I must say a passion for art and artists. Whilst some stations gave an insight to the attachment with their heritage, some reflected the inner sweet-tooth in their products. From home decor with a cultural touch to mouth-watering desserts, it was all under one roof.
One such sugar craft was Terry’s Treats and I kid you not, it indeed had some heaven variety of pastries and cakes. Me and my sister, not being able to resist the temptation, treated ourselves with their best-seller rainbow themed pastries. *Nom Nom*
In addition to this, Isholicious with their Kheer, Delicacies with their Cupcakes and Fiori Cafe’s chocolates added further sweetness at the event.
Fiori, a special thank you for making my nephew’s day with your chocolates 😀
Moving on, the event had some real organic galore! Yes, my lovelies, it had a variety of organic beauty products with Food For Your Face, Seen Meem Enterprise and HeaLiv at the lead. If you didn’t attend this, you missed a great deal of organic dose! 😛
The event had a wide array of crafts, including an exquisite glass painting collection by Sakina’s and breathtaking portraits from Kamaash. Bollywood had never looked this catchy and lively. Bisera Jewels, where each piece is designed ‘Once’ especially for you, showcased aesthetic jewelry pieces whilst Zed Mars rocked it with their uniquely carved clutches.
The Tuttie Cuttie Boutique, catering the needs of your little ones, exhibited a twinkly and cutie patootie range of clothing for baby girls. It is the first ever tutu store of Pakistan and everyone out there, including me, was genuinely awestricken. How I wish to get back to my younger days, only to wear these oh-so-pretty dresses :D.
Chic Footwear by Walk About and Bee Flair with their home-made beeswax scented candles variety literally got the crowd crazy.
Not only this, there were demonstrations by crafters held in collaboration with the Craft Circus (visit the link for videos) where onlookers were exposed to the basics of card making and what goes behind the art of ink. It was surely a treat for the novice crafters as it gave them an insight to the world of arts and crafts and a cue to begin with their passions for it.
There is a tonnes of stuff I am missing but just for record, the show had embroidered bed coverings, paintings, ralli art (clutches),ajraks calligraphy, various fashion accessories, magnets, keepsakes and ceramic works as well as quirky truck art. Sara’s Henna, based in Hong Kong, was the talk of the event who brought the White Henna Formula with herself for the very first time in Pakistan.
Well guys, this piece of mine might not be able to do the justice to this event as it deserves but surely Happiness is indeed HANDMADE.
The Indie Arts and Crafts Show was multifaceted in it truest sense as it brought forth and provided a platform to many crafters. It nurtured talent, celebrated passion and united hearts; all at once.
P.s: All pictures are mine. Those not are labelled. 🙂
*PEEKABOO* because this is all I could do amidst exams and…. . Oh, there is so much going on lately!
To sum up, I am so so so DRAINED since these past few days. Having said that, I am quite elated with the fact that I shall be having my freedom in a matter of just a few days, i.e, 8th of June. But it’s really hard to hold on this long. *sigh*
A-level has really gotten on my nerves, I just can’t wait to get rid of this horrendous phase of my academics.
If there is anything on this Earth that’s helping me to cope up with my stress levels, it is this heavenly combination of milk chocolate with crisp hazel nuts.
Frankly speaking, I am not at all like one of those crazy mazy chocolate loving girls. But this literally won my heart. So rich and yummy. I always just take one chunk or two of whatever chocolates, some one brings but this bar, yeah man, I ate this entire bar; I was quite shocked because trust me when I say I do not eat chocolates much and I never buy any until and unless I have to gift it to anybody. Yes, I can hear you say, “You are weird, who doesn’t like chocolates?” But pals, this is how I am. ^_^
So, Lindt! Hands down 🙂 I have to ask my brother-in-law to get me this again. Oh, did I mention, this is perks of being a sister-in-law, that you are showered with surprises time to time.
This is what me and my cousin had been throughout this movie, “Flight 7500“.
It was the weekend and my cousin came to spend it with me. We had some errand, but luck wasn’t in our favour and we were much to our disappointment unable to make it. Anyhoo, everything happens for a reason, so if something does not happen your way, my friend, see the brighter side and be positive 🙂 I try and do the same; recommends the same!
I am not a movie person until some one is with me 😀 So, since my cousin-sister was here, I grabbed the opportunity and treated myself to a movie night and wohoo! IT WAS A DISASTER! *oops*
And as it ended, we felt like ending our lives too. I mean, why does it have to end like this?
I am not going to reveal much other than that it involves a plane possessed by some supernatural force. Over to you people!
I bet you would feel the same as we did whilst watching the end.
Know what was the best part of the movie?…. . Well, they were the french-fries made by me, hehe 😀
Please don’t hate me when you watch this movie! I am a pretty nice person at heart with just a bad movie day so I had to unleash it somewhere, hehe 😀
