Makeup Revolution London Amazing Beloved Lipstick – Review and Swatch

A few days back, I rejoined the Makeup Revolution and got my second product 😀

A student here guysss, so the makeup beginnings are humble 😛

By the by, you can check out my first try, which was a powder blush and a total hit for me.

Makeup Revolution London Wow! (Powder) Blush – Review

Okay, let’s get started with the lipstick’s review :). This is going to be one hell of a hard hitting one.

Product Claims:

Don a striking and stunning look with this ‘Beloved Amazing’ lipstick from the house of Makeup Revolution London. This lipstick ensures a long-lasting lustre and color. This lipstick will lend you soft, smooth and supple lips.

makeup-revolution-amazing-beloved_2
Packaging:

It dwells in a cylindrical tubing and has a matching lid with that of the shade which I find really amazing, as it makes everything easy; from locating to quick decision making whether you would want to go for the lipstick with the makeup look you have created or not.

My Experience:

I was smitten by the lovely cool toned coral neon-ish pink shade and that’s what compelled me into purchasing it, but to my utter disappointment, my world crashed down as it did not fall upon my expectations. *Sigh*

It is matte formula-wise with extremely low pigmentation. Upon first application, the color doesn’t show at all. You got to literally drag it 3-4 times for color, but then it still appears as patchy, dull and not at all smooth. Lovelies with highly pigmented lips would literally hit their faces on the wall out of sheer annoyance.
Even after you use a balm under it, it just doesn’t work. I really can not tell you guys about whether it transfers or not, bleeds or not because in the first place, the lipstick has to be there on your lips for you to comment on it. And for me, guys, it was barely there.

With flash

It would take you ages to apply this lipstick. Putting and blending it on, both, my friends, are time-consuming and utterly frustrating.

Pros:
-Pocket-friendly

Cons:
-Poor pigmentation
-Patchy application
-It literally tires you out whilst you apply it

I got mine from www.daraz.pk and it is priced for PKR 225. Let me know if it worked for you in the comments section below :). Thank you for stopping by <3.

P.s: Had a bad lightning day for photos… .

Essence Liquid Lipstick Peach Party -Review

Hola!!!

They say, “Give a woman the right lipstick and she can conquer the world”.

Does Essence Liquid Lipstick in the shade Peach Party live up to this popular quote? Read to find out! 😉

essence-cosmetic-peach-party

Product Claim/Description:
Liquid love! This new formula combines the best of both lipstick and lip gloss. Get the impact and coverage of a lipstick with the moisturizing shine of a gloss.

Price: 430 PKR.

Packaging:
It comes in a wee cutie plump bottle and contains 0.13 oz of the product. I love how the packaging is in color coordination with the lipstick shade, as if you own a plethora of lip colors, there would be no hassle in locating the color you desire. In addition to this, the applicator is flat from both the ends, which personally appeals me as it give me better control unlike those full round pointy applicators.

My Thoughts:
Firstly, let’s talk about the formula. Well, it is thicker and sticky considering that it’s a hybrid formula and it has to give that consistency which a lipstick gives. Having said that, it settles more like a gloss, but gives a medium coverage which matches to that of lipstick. Moreover, the shine is just to the point, not so much and not too less. Here, the Essence Cosmetics have done pure justice to the concept of the hybrid formula. It wins it here for me.

The shade is a beautiful baby pink kind of, and would match with lighter-skinned beauties. The pigmentation is quite strong and upon its application I noticed a subtle glow on my face. I don’t know, but it really is that color which lifts up your complexion and brightens up your overall look.
As for longevity, it manages to last for good 4-5 hours. The best part is, the color doesn’t transfer and you can eat and drink as you please. Phew!!!

The cherry on top is that it is super duper hydrating. It does not feel dry and is very moisturizing. Absolutely love the moist feel over my lips. ❤
And, and, anddd I absolutely love the biscuit-ti fragrance. Creamy and yummyilicious!

Now comes the only downside I encountered, which is that as you apply, it settles more or less like a patch. It doesn’t glide on smoothly; even if you double up the application, it just doesn’t go smoothly and sticks onto your lips in small portions (if I make sense). I grab a lipstick brush to smooth it out a little and to some extent I manage to overcome this dilemma.

Yays:
-Adorable packaging
-Super hydrating
-Good color payoff
-Excellent longevity
-Apt amount of shine

Nays:
-It settles patchily
-You think the quantity is too less for the price
-You think the color doesn’t go with your skin or is too pink to handle
-If the biscuit-ti fragrance bothers you
-You expected a fuller coverage

I purchased mine from www.daraz.pk. It is my go-to shopping stop; extremely reliable and hassle free :).

Until next time, enjoy this Peach party and I shall catch up with you all in my next post!

Lots of love,

Zoi

Lolane Natura Hair Treatment – Review

Like me, guys, my mother too is very particular about her hair. You must have been aware by now how fussy even I, am too about my hair in my LAST post. You see, like mother like daughter 😉

Ever since I grew up, I know that she is a lover of dying hair. And even I loved those brown hues my mother often gets her hair in with a volume cut.
With hair color comes great responsibility of taking extra care of your hair. First and foremost is using a hair products specifically made for hair color care.

Lolane Natura Hair Treatment – For Nourishing and Color Care is the current favorite of my mother. She seems quite satisfied with it and trust me when I say that she rarely gets there 😀

For the record, Lolane is a Thai brand, notably and successively renowned for more than 20 years, which has been manufacturing new products & services continuously for protecting & treating hair by means of essential nourishment from nature as the major feature in their products which is quite evident in the list of products below.

Lolane Natura Hair Treatment comes in a range of 4, namely:

  • For Dry & Damaged Hair – Jojoba Oil and Silk Protein
  • For Diamond Shiny Hair – Macadamia Butter
  • For Hair fall – Beetroot Extracts
  • For Nourishing & Color Care – Sunflower Extracts.

This product should be used after you shampoo instead of following up with hair conditioner for it does the job.

Let’s dive straight into the review now. Here you go!!!

My mother’s view:

I have been using this product for two months and I find it quite satisfactory.
Firstly, let me just tell you how much I love the fragrance. I find it so soothing and refreshing.
As for the formulation, it is not runny, but in fact really thick as compared to the hair conditioners.

If I speak about my hair texture, it is rough and frizzy. Upon its usage,  I feel my hair really soft and easy to brush; it detangles really well, at least in my case.

While I fully mark it out of 10 on the nourishing part, I  would rate it 8 out of 10 when it comes to the color caring part. I did not feel my color stayed put for long. It did not make much of a difference on my color staying power, but also did not make it fade or anything, so this product stands rather in the middle here. But, all in all, this product really did make a difference in the texture of my hair. They feel indeed soft as I mentioned earlier and looks leveled rather than disheveled as it used to previously. It really has changed the game as hair-taming hasn’t been hectic now.

Yes, my hair has become manageable and I am very happy about it!!

Let me know your experience with this product or any other recommendations :). Thank you for reading this and stopping by my blog, loves ❤

My Hair Story

Hello Earthlings!

Today, I will be talking about my hair story which I posted earlier about. Its a sad one. Sigh. Sad because I am very much fussy when it comes to my hair and when I see a decline in them, my heart skips a beat. Back a few months ago when I was observing Ramadan, I fell ill in the last Ashrah (Last 10 days of Ramadan) and was confined to the bed; unable to even carry off a normal paced conversation let alone the idea of walking.

I don’t usually fall ill, but when I do I make sure I shake up my whole Khandaan (clan) and gets laid for about a month or so. *wicked grin*
Yes, I have this weird thing with me. Back in 2012, I severally fell ill and literally shaken up my entire family because of zero signs of recovery. I remember how my sisters left off their homes and came in to look after me. I remember my mother and sister parading my school for some kind of assistance because my illness led me to miss my O’level final examinations. And trust me when I say, I did not like what was happening. Being a family person, all that hustle and emotional trauma my family were going through distressed me the most. Perhaps, that’s what took a toll over me and I took a heck a lot of time to recover. All thanks to the Almighty, I did recover but after almost a month. However, missed my examinations and lost my confidence for quite a time.

In both of these periods of illness, one thing which came as common was excessive loss of hair. I, by the God’s grace, pretty much own long and healthy hair but if I fall ill, hell breaks loose on my hair first. They get reduced to a few strands and I literally struggle with my wits post hair loss. To me, my hair is a source of confidence and seeing them falling short saddened me like crazy. I just don’t feel good and feel rather cranky if something goes wrong with my hair.

So, what came at my rescue?

Well, 2 simple concoctions changed the game. The tables turned and I pretty much started recovering my hair. ^_^

One out of the two is already on my blog. I shall link it up for you guys HERE. It is a very simple DIY which hands down would prove to be extremely beneficial for your hair. Give it a go and thank me later  in the comments section or at Instagram 😉

The second is a blend of few oils that I am using to overcome the hair loss post my Ramadan illness. It consists of Almond oil, Castor oil and Black seed oil. Below are the three brands I use.

mundial-100-pure-almond-oilAlmond oil has nutrients that help control the hair loss. It is rich in magnesium, zinc and strengthening  vitamins that contributes to a healthy hair growth and guards your hair from falling.
black-seed-front-2Black seed oil (Kalonji), is derived from Black Cumin or Latin name “Nigella Sativa” which is known as “seed of blessing” in Arabic culture. Moreover, the Prophet (P.B.U.H) is reported to have said ,”There is healing in Black Cumin for all diseases except death.” (Sahih Bukhari 7:71:592). Rubbing hair with this strengthens the hair follicles, hence resulting in healthier, shinier and strong hair.
castoroilNearly everyone must be aware of the benefiting properties of Castor oil. It is a widely used oil in this universe, especially as an eyelash serum. This is an all rounder guys! It helps you have richer and darker hair, also prevents split ends as well as hair fall.

Imagine when you mix these three oils. Guys, a wonder is bound to take place!!! It did happen in my case and I am sure, it would in your case too.

Just mix equal proportions of all the three oils. Heat them up for 30 seconds and massage into your scalp. Leave it overnight and rinse as usual. For optimum results, I suggest doing it at least twice a week.

This was my story, what is yours? Share with me 🙂
